Other Violent Offenses
We also defend charges such as armed and unarmed robbery (MCL 750.529 and 750.530), carjacking (MCL 750.529a), and home invasion (MCL 750.110a). Many of these carry lengthy prison terms and require careful attention to the sentencing guidelines from day one.
Self-Defense and Trial Preparation
Michigan's Self-Defense Act (MCL 780.972) allows a person to use force when they honestly and reasonably believe it is necessary to defend themselves or others. Violent crime cases often come down to credibility, witnesses, and video. Miguel has won not guilty verdicts in assault and domestic violence cases, including at jury and bench trials in Wayne County.
